Our Services
An experienced Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) brings a unique, dual perspective to any special education case—combining clinical diagnostic expertise with direct, practical experience inside the public school system.
Here is why families and legal teams turn to a dedicated LEP for representation and support:
In-Depth, Independent Diagnostic Insight: An LEP provides a thorough, objective evaluation unencumbered by district resource constraints. This ensures the child’s full cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional profile—including complex behavioral or executive functioning needs—is accurately identified.
School System & IEP Mastery: Having worked directly within school districts, an LEP understands the inner workings of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), 504 plans, and special education law. They know how goals are written, how services are calculated, and how to navigate eligibility criteria effectively.
Culturally & Linguistically Responsive Evaluations: Many LEPs specialize in bilingual assessments and dynamic testing frameworks, ensuring that language differences are never mistaken for learning disabilities and that every child receives an equitable evaluation.
Collaborative & Actionable Advocacy: Rather than taking an adversarial approach, an LEP acts as a bridge between families, schools, and legal advocates. They translate complex psychological data into concrete, realistic accommodations and actionable IEP recommendations that school teams can readily implement.
Expert Testimony & Formal Advocacy: When cases require formal dispute resolution, mediation, or due process hearings, an LEP offers defensible, evidence-based reports and authoritative testimony that stand up to rigorous scrutiny.
Advocates serve families who are just starting their journey into special education, those whose children are struggling despite having an IEP in place, or those facing procedural denials of service.
The essential value of a California Special Education Advocate lies in transforming a complex, emotionally draining bureaucratic process into a streamlined, results-oriented plan. By leveraging our procedural knowledge and strategic insights, we assist in moving a student’s program from legal minimum compliance to meaningful educational benefit, ensuring that every child is given the specific support they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
At PACE, we provide compassionate, collaborative counseling for children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. Out approach integrates evidence-based practice with solution focused and strength-based interventions to help individuals better understand themselves, build resilience, and move toward meaningful goals. We create a supportive, individualized space where individuals can develop practical skills for emotional regulation, anxiety, self-confidence, relationships, executive functioning, life transitions, and overall personal growth. Our goal is to help each person recognize their strengths, cultivate hope, and develop the tools they need to thrive.
Build Skills, Build Confidence, Find your PACE.
Our eight-week executive function program builds the practical skills you need to get organized, focused, confident, and in control of your daily life. Through individualized, engaging sessions, individuals learn strategies for planning, time management, prioritization, task initiation, organization, emotional regulation, and follow through.
An Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) assessment is a comprehensive evaluation designed to understand how a student's social-emotional and mental health needs may be affecting their educational functioning. The goal of an ERMHS assessment is to identify a student's strengths and areas of need and determine whether mental health services & support may be necessary for the student to access and benefit their education program.
Private psychological & vocational evaluations.
Multi-faceted evaluation focusing on individual’s cognitive & vocational potential, of which can be helpful with agencies such as California’s Regional Centers or the Department of Rehabilitation, among other community agencies.
No age limit and the evaluation can help neuro-typical & neuro-divergent individuals.
Cognitive testing includes a brief Intelligent Quotient (I.Q.) measure.
Optional vocational measures include an individual’s developmental levels compared to norming sample and rating scales that inform an individual’s independence in: feeding, dressing, hygiene, home routines, & travel and safety.
